Burrington 1 East Worlington 4

Crowd: 37

Burrington hosted a second exciting football match against East Worlington last Thursday. The pace was fast and furious throughout the game, with Burrington keeping the pressure up on the visitors in the first half and Sam narrowly missing a great chance! Ander and Josh J played a sterling defence, repeatedly clearing the ball to safety and closing down attack after attack! Sam and Max worked superbly together, moving the ball up the pitch, resulting in several close shaves. When pushed, goal keeper Josh P saved time and time again, denying the Worlington strikers several goals. However, the pressure mounted and Burrington eventually conceded 3 goals. Not to be daunted, with Dan working like a terrier and Freddie working the midfield brilliantly, Sam eventually managed to put the ball into the net, and with one final goal against them, the final score was 1-4! The Burrington team played magnificently, and the score certainly does not reflect their efforts. A big thank you must go out to Sean for refereeing too. A jolly good job!
