Class 2 PGL Residential
Class 2 had a fantastic adventure at PGL over the weekend.
It was literally non-stop for the whole stay from the time we climbed off the coach (after the awful traffic at Newton Abbot!) to the time we clambered back on again! Favourite activities were the Zip Wire, with some very brave children overcoming their fears and racing back up the field for another go! The other favourites were canoeing (which was very wet, including Mr Walters falling in!), the mountain biking in glorious weather, Aeroball, where Molly thrashed Mr Walters 3-2, crate stacking, where Josh M and Imogen stacked a record breaking 13 crates! And that was only one less than the highest ever of 14! Brave children indeed! Freddie and Jack, amongst others, scaled the Vertical Challenge - no mean feat at about 15 metres high! Max kept good control in his dorm, as did Josh P. We won’t talk about the state of the girls dorm! But it wasn't too bad. It has to be said that the year 3s, some on their first ever residential, were brilliant both during the day and sleeping through the night. So congratulations to the way they organised themselves and sorted out what they needed. Several mums will be pleased to hear that their children suddenly discovered they could eat more than chicken nuggets and everyone was well fed with superb food. Diets all round for some of us this week! Thank you to all the parents who have taken the time to say thank you to the staff, either personally or by email. It is very much appreciated. So another residential comes to an end, with the children bringing home many memories they are sure to treasure for a long time. But where will we be going next year?
