A long time ago, in a school not far away, a book mark competition was held in conjunction with Burrington’s twinning town, Cormolain, France.
This was organised by Judy Cowx who sent off some fantastic designs from our school and from people in the village. They were displayed together with 4 other French schools and we were stunned to find out that two children in the school had won prizes, which were kindly presented on Wednesday by Tony Parsons, together with Judy Cowx, Tansy Parsons and Doreen Fraser-Smith. Do have a look in the entrance hall, where the children’s bookmarks are displayed, and some of the adults bookmarks are framed too! Well done to Sam and Imogen for winning individual prizes in their age category. Doreen has kindly donated her prize of an Illuminated Letter Painting Guide to the school and we are very grateful to her for that. It will be brilliant in our art lessons.
