Snowdrop planting in the churchyard
We were very kindly invited to plant snowdrops, donated by villagers, in the churchyard last Friday.
We were a bit worried, as the forecast was rather inclement. But we donned our coats and wrapped up warm to join Gill Benson and her trusty band, and got planting. Everyone 'mucked' in, and before you knew it, the job was done! It will be lovely to see them in flower next spring, and to recall that the children had planted them. I wonder how many years they will last, and how many generations ahead will wonder where they came from? Thank you Gill for inviting us. It was a lovely idea - especially the squash and biscuits afterwards. I have to say that Margaret Bolt wealds a mean mattock too!
