Special Educational Needs
We are committed to ensuring that every pupil at our school makes the best possible progress, whatever their needs or abilities.
The Education Act 1996 provides that a child has special educational needs (SEN) if they have a learning difficulty which calls for special educational provision to be made for them.
A learning difficulty means that the child either has significantly greater difficulty in learning than the majority of children of the same age, or has a disability which either prevents or hinders the child from making use of the educational facilities which are provided for children of the same age in a mainstream school
In line with our Special Educational Needs Policy, we will always ensure that special educational provision is made for a child who needs it.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us - we will always be happy to talk to you about your child's needs.
In line with recent changes, we have produced a Special Educational Needs Local Offer, which is available to view on our policies page.
