Remembrance Day 2025
Chulmleigh College Remembers
This morning, the Chulmleigh College community came together to remember and honour all those who have lost their lives in armed conflict.
At 11am, 750 pupils, teachers and staff gathered in the Sports Hall for two minutes of silence - a moment of quiet reflection, remembrance and respect...
The service began with a few words from Mr Payne, before Agnes Catling, Head Girl, and Daniel Rhodes, Deputy Head Boy, gave a moving reading of Rudyard Kipling’s “My Boy Jack.” Year 7 pupil, Hope Russell, then shared her own heartfelt poem, written especially for the occasion.
Mr Miners played the Last Post to mark the beginning of the silence, and the Reveille to bring it to a close - a powerful reminder of the courage, sacrifice and hope that we remember on this day.
Together, the College stood in silent solidarity, reflecting on the past and looking toward a more peaceful future.
We thank everyone who took part in this meaningful act of remembrance. Lest we forget.
