Discover Chulmleigh College

Whether you attend our Open Evening or one of our Open Mornings, you will have the opportunity to explore our exceptional learning environment, meet our dedicated staff and pupils, and discover how we help every pupil thrive both academically and personally.

Open Evening (for prospective pupils and their families)

Thursday 24th September 2026

4.30pm – 7.00pm

Our Open Evening is the perfect opportunity for prospective parents and pupils to experience life at Chulmleigh College first-hand.

Throughout the evening, visitors will be able to:

  • Enjoy pupil-led tours of the College
  • Take part in interactive activities across subject areas
  • View a wide range of pupil work and achievements
  • Meet our staff and current pupils
  • Receive information about transport and admissions
  • Sample delicious refreshments and tasters of a variety of our school meals and snacks, all freshly prepared in Dartridge Hall
  • Speak with Louise Miller Marshall, SENDCo
  • Hear from Neil Payne, Headteacher, alongside speeches from our Head Boy and Head Girl at 6.30pm

We recommend attending the full event to make the most of everything on offer and gain a true feel for our welcoming and inspiring school community.

 

Open Mornings (for prospective pupils and their families)

Tuesday 29th September 2026 or Thursday 1st October 2026

11.15am – 1.00pm

Our Open Mornings provide families with the opportunity to see the College in action during a normal school day.

Schedule

  • 11.30am – Heywood Hall
    Presentation from Neil Payne, Headteacher, together with the Head Boy and Head Girl
  • 11.45am
    Guided tours of the school led by members of our Senior Leadership Team, accompanied by prefects
  • 12.30pm – Heywood Hall
    Refreshments and informal discussions with senior leaders and prefects
  • 1.00pm
    Families depart

These events offer a valuable insight into daily life at Chulmleigh College, including our learning environment, facilities, and the strong relationships which underpin our school culture.
